1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file placed on your browser when you visit a website. It allows certain information (session, preferences) to be remembered in order to improve your experience. Cookies can be permanent (persistent) or temporary (session cookies, deleted when the browser is closed).
2. Our philosophy: the strict minimum
Sublim Analytics was designed around a founding principle: collect only what is strictly necessary. We do not use any advertising cookies, profiling cookies, or cross-site behavioral tracking tools. You do not need a consent banner to use our services — we place nothing that requires one.
3. Cookies used on sublimanalytics.com
Authentication cookies (strictly necessary)
These cookies keep your session open after login. Without them, you would be logged out on every page change. They are deleted upon logout or when the session expires.
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
| session_token | Session authentication | Session (or 30 days with "Remember me") | Necessary |
| csrf_token | Protection against CSRF attacks | Session | Necessary |
Preference cookies (functional)
These cookies remember your interface preferences (theme, language, dashboard filters) so you don't have to reconfigure them on every visit.
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
| ui_theme | Light/dark preference | 1 year | Functional |
| locale | Interface language | 1 year | Functional |
4. What we do not use
- No advertising or remarketing cookies (Google Ads, Meta Pixel, etc.).
- No third-party analytics cookies (Google Analytics, Hotjar, Mixpanel, etc.).
- No social media sharing cookies.
- No fingerprinting or cross-domain tracking tools.
- No third-party advertising network has access to your data.
5. The tracking script on your sites
The Sublim script you install on your own websites does not place any cookies on your visitors' browsers. Sublim Analytics measures traffic without cookies, using privacy-friendly aggregation techniques. Your visitors do not need a cookie consent banner to be measured by Sublim.
6. Third-party integrations and their cookies
When you connect third-party services to Sublim (Meta Ads, Google Search Console, Brevo…), these services may place their own cookies during their OAuth authentication flows. These cookies are managed by those third-party services and subject to their own privacy policies. Sublim does not control these cookies and does not use them for tracking purposes.
7. Data retention periods
Analytics data (your site)
Retained for the duration of your active subscription, then 90 days after cancellation before permanent deletion.
Account data
Retained until account closure, then deleted within 30 days. Billing records are kept for 10 years (French legal requirement).
Security logs
Retained for 12 months in anonymized form for fraud detection purposes.
8. Your rights over your data
In accordance with the GDPR, you have the following rights:
- Right of access: obtain a copy of your personal data.
- Right to rectification: correct inaccurate data.
- Right to erasure: request deletion of your data.
- Right to portability: receive your data in a structured format.
